Looking Through Glass, 2021

 

I created this short film as an attempt to document some of the environmental destruction that has taken place over the years in my family's community of O-Pipon-Na-Piwin (South Indian Lake, MB). I lived on reserve as a baby and my family continues to live here. Manitoba Hydro needs to be held accountable for their destruction of Indigenous lands, waters and ecosystems. My hope is that this film can bring more awareness of what my family and community have been through.
