Caleb Dysart (Nisichiwayasihk Cree Nation) is a nîhithaw artist living on unceded Coast Salish territories, specializing in 3D animation, murals, photography, design & illustration. His family comes from Treaty 5 in northern Manitoba, from O-Pipon-Na-Piwin Cree Nation (South Indian Lake), Nisichiwayasihk Cree Nation (Nelson House), Opaskwayak Cree Nation (The Pas) & Minneapolis, MN. 

 

Caleb holds a Bachelor of Media Arts from Emily Carr University of Art & Design, majoring in 3D animation. Caleb currently lives in K'emk'emeláy̓ (“the place of many maple trees"; Vancouver) with his partner and dog, working as a freelance illustrator and muralist. His process-driven work is finely crafted to celebrate Cree culture, incorporate stories that centre around physical and spiritual connections to land, and depict the interconnected relationships between all living things.
